Bri Rice - Owner and Head Trainer
Bri’s dog training roots began in Kansas City, MO. After working in vet clinics and operating as management at boarding and daycare facilities, she embarked on two dog training apprenticeships with KC veteran dog trainers. With a few years apprenticing under her belt, she then joined forces with a KC based training group where she interned for a short while before becoming a full time trainer. With a growing clientele, Bri began to find her niche within behavior modification and focused her efforts from private lessons and classes to board and trains. Bri began to focus her energy on her new found placement in the dog world and it was then that Lead Your Dog came forward.
After accruing a small battalion of dogs herself, she helped within and soon gained ownership of the organization Scholarly Strays, a foster company that trains and adopts out shelter dogs, taking one of their ferals in herself who has become known as Pavlov the Brave.
After officiating the business and operating in the Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas areas, Lead Your Dog and Bri hit the road for a relocation to southern Missouri. She now operates Lead Your Dog out of Joplin, Missouri and services clients all around America. Still centering her training philosophy in comprehensive dog training, she specializes in behavior modification and obedience for dogs of any size or age.
Bri regularly seeks new learning opportunities and has diversified her training to encompass therapy programs and hospice care, as well as a partnership with a Kansas City rescue to rehab hard to adopt dogs. Lead Your Dog is currently developing training protocol to assist in service task training and maintains a regular research policy to ensure the best quality standards.
It is a goal of both Bri and Lead Your Dog to grow in a direction that truly maximizes the well being of all dogs and allows the dog and owner to experience their best life.
Bri has four dogs and can almost always be found with one or more by her side.
